NZ Idle is a satirical web series that explores the complex topic of attitudes toward unemployment and how we value work and creativity in modern society. To promote the release NZ Idle I designed a series of motivational posters that are a parody of the types of posters you might find in the waiting area of a work and income office. At first glance, these posters seemed to have an encouraging message but they often had a subtext of blame and shame. For the sake of comedy we took that aspect and turned them up to eleven.
